Therapy in English, Spanish, and Portuguese for men, couples, teens, and adults.
Hello.Hola.Oi.
Hello. Hola. Oi. There’s no perfect way to begin. We can start with what’s on your mind, in the language that feels most like you.
Couples Counseling
Understanding each other. Finding connection.
Relationships can feel stuck when the same conversations turn into the same conflicts. I offer a space for you and your partner to slow down, understand the patterns between you, and explore the emotional needs underneath them.
Together, we can work on:
- Recognizing recurring patterns in communication and conflict.
- Finding words for feelings and needs that are difficult to express.
- Making room for each partner’s culture, identity, and perspective.
- Working toward a more secure connection.
My approach emphasizes curiosity, honest conversation, and understanding what happens between you—not simply deciding who is right.
The goal
A more secure emotional bond, where each of you can turn toward the other, feel heard, and ask for the closeness and support you need. We work toward changing the cycle of disconnection, rather than deciding which partner is the problem.
How we’ll work
I use Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) to help you slow down the cycle, notice the more vulnerable feelings beneath your reactions, and name the attachment needs that are hard to share. Together, we practice new ways of reaching for and responding to each other.
My EFCT training includes an externship and Core Skills, totaling 50+ hours.
Individual Therapy
Room to understand yourself.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before we begin. I meet you with empathy, curiosity, and respect for the experiences that shape you. Together, we can explore what’s on your mind and what you’d like to work toward.
Our conversations can make room for:
- Feelings that are difficult to identify, understand, or express.
- Relationships, interpersonal conflict, and expectations around masculinity.
- Cultural adaptation, immigration stress, belonging, and identity.
- Experiences of anxiety, depression, and the challenges of everyday life.
I bring a person-centered and relational-cultural perspective to our work. Your experience guides the conversation, and you’re welcome to speak openly without filtering who you are.
Your goals
Our work can support greater self-awareness, a clearer sense of your needs, and more room to be yourself. We’ll decide together what meaningful change looks like for you.
How I work
My individual work is grounded in a humanistic, person-centered approach and draws on Gestalt therapy and Relational-Cultural Theory (RCT). We make room for your present-moment experience, the relationships and cultural contexts that shape you, and what matters most to you.
We can start with a conversation.

The experience I bring to our work.
My advanced clinical training in a high-stakes incarceratory environment gave me experience with diverse teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, complex trauma, abuse, PTSD, and interpersonal conflict. I also have a particular interest in helping teen and adult men who find it difficult to identify and feel emotions—sometimes called Normative Male Alexithymia.
Different tools. The same human connection.
I draw from evidence-based approaches, guided by your experience and what we’re working toward together.
Relational-Cultural Therapy
We explore how culture, power, and connection shape your relationships—and how the therapeutic relationship can support healing.
Person-Centered Therapy
You lead. I meet you with empathy, curiosity, and no agenda for who you’re supposed to become.
Gestalt Therapy
We pay attention to what’s happening now: your emotions, your body, and your experience in the room.
Emotionally Focused Therapy
For couples, we explore the cycle you get stuck in and the emotional needs underneath it. My EFCT training includes an externship and Core Skills, totaling 50+ hours.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Practical ways to notice and work with the thoughts and habits that keep anxiety and depression going.
We can start with a conversation.
Fifteen minutes to ask questions, tell me a little about yourself, and see if we’re a good fit. No charge. No pressure.
